The launch is another milestone for the country

India’s space agency ISRO has always given us reasons to be proud and it has done it yet once again by launching its 100th satellite successfully thus starting the new year with bright hopes for the future. The satellite was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday.

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C40), which was undertaking its 42nd mission, hosted the ‘Cartosat-2’, a weather observation satellite and 30 other satellites — 28 of which belonged to other countries.

Both, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind congratulated ISRO for its success and called it a moment of pride for every Indian.
