Education is the constitutional right of every individual. Keeping this in mind the Meerut district administration initiated the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan rath (van) which aims to enroll more children in the age group of 6-14 years in schools.

Meerut district magistrate Sameer Verma, said that the intent of this mission is to ensure that all kids in the age group of 6-14 years who do not go to school are enrolled. Steps will be taken to make sure that no child stays away from school. The instructions of the basic shiksha department would be followed strictly
Assertive and captivating slogans like ‘Ek Bachha Choota, toh Abhiyaan hamara toota’, ‘Aadhi roti khayenge, school zaroor jayenge’, ‘Bachhe mange pyaar do, shiksha ka adhikaar do’ will adorn the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan rath to draw people’s attention.
Ayarka Akhauri, chief development officer, said that this van spreading the importance of education will be on the move for 14 days and enlist as many kids as possible in the ongoing drive.
