A memorable class for Chennai Students
The class started with almost a number of 1,049 students of Class IX and X at the India International Science Festival (IISF) in Anna University, Chennai, made a Guinness World Record for the Largest Biology Lesson on Saturday.
The Largest Biology Class was made interesting to the students by a local school teacher where he also gave a lesson with a demonstration on how to extract DNA from papaya fruit.
Union Minister for Science & Technology Dr. Harsh Vardhan who was present at the occasion, praises and congratulates the students and teachers for getting an award for the World's Largest Biology Lesson.
The Minister added, a proud moment for both the students and their teachers who in a way showed their potentials and have given the country a welcome Diwali gift.
At the end of it all, Mr. Swapnil Dangarikar, Adjudicator, Guinness World Records said, "You have successfully broken the record and this is a new Guinness Record for the largest biology lesson. Congratulations."
Chennai students were on top of the world at the end of the lesson that continued for almost 90 mins. Nobody expected a science class to be so memorable.
