Know the decision of CBSE board for Class 10 and 12 board....
For error-free evaluation, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has shifted the Class X and XII board examinations from March to February.
The change is made to improve the examination cycle and other related activities from 2018-2019. The process will be completed within a month’s time. CBSE chairman R K Chaturvedi said that as per the new reform, exams will start around February 15 and will be completed within a month. This will advance the declaration of results too, which will be around third or fourth week of May. Early result declaration will make it conducive for the students in their undergraduate admission process. The shift is a part of board’s plans to improve the evaluation process which had recently fallen victim of many complaints due to errors in the paper evaluation.
The CBSE board is planning to involve more experienced staff in the evaluation process who will be trained with two training sessions. Just like teacher’s training, there will be evaluator’s training. Annually around 50,000 teachers are engaged in the evaluation process across 2000 centres.
Also, the CBSE board has decided to scrape the re-evaluation process as only a few number of students applying for photocopies reapply.
