Haryana CM takes a zero-tolerance stand on crime against women
Jai Ram Thakur, in one of his key decisions after taking over as Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, announced on Friday that a 24×7 ‘Guddia’ helpline will be set up for the safety of women. He said that day-to-day reporting will be monitored by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and action will be taken mandatorily within 48 hours.
Asserting that there will be zero tolerance for crime against women, he said that the helpline with requisite infrastructure and necessary facilities would become operational soon. He also announced ‘Atal Helpline’ for dealing with complaints of corruption.
