Eco-friendly transportation system will soon be implemented by Haryana government
With a vision of starting an eco-friendly transportation system, Haryana government will launch about 75 to 100 electric buses in its first phase at Gurugram.
The following came out after Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain and other delegates visited the plant of JBM Solaris Electric Vehicles Limited in Poland on Tuesday. Kavita Jain spoke about many benefits of the electric vehicle usages. She mentioned that an electric bus would save about 4.25 lakh litres of diesel and greatly drop carbon emissions by 1150 tonnes over a period of 10 years. This will prevent environmental pollution and noise pollution. Also, this will help ensure a safe transport with no use of fossil fuels.
She further added that the Central and State Governments are trying to introduce the electric transportation system all over the country. As of now, in Haryana, as the electric transportation is in its initial phase, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation are jointly handling the expenditure of the project with a share of 50 percent, 40 percent and 10 percent respectively.
Electronic transportation will spread a new wave of environment conservation and prevention nationwide which is the call of the time.
