Rahul Doshi is a genius

Rahul Doshi, a 12-year-old Indian origin boy became an overnight sensation after answering all questions correctly in a popular television quiz competition. Shortly thereafter, he was crowned the UK's 'Child Genius'.

The schoolboy from north London defeated his nine-year-old opponent - Ronan - 10-4. Rahul earned the title by answering a question on 19th Century artists William Holman Hunt and John Everett Millais.

Rahul was delighted to win the title although it didn’t sink in straight away. His father Minesh, an IT manager, who had entered his son into the competition was bursting with pride.

It was an intense competition where candidates showed off their maths, English, spelling and history skills as well as memory powers.

Rahul who scored very highly in previous rounds - even bagging a full house in the very first round of the series had been one of the favourites throughout. He impressed everyone in the audience by correctly memorising the order of a pack of cards.

Rahul, who is a member of the Mensa club and believed to have a higher IQ than Albert Einstein said that he remained calm and focused on the goal. His ability to answer many questions correctly helped him to stay calm in the initial stages.

Rahul aspires to become a financial adviser.
