The late welder has given a new life to four people.
Being strong during tough times can help us cope with life’s curve balls. And to help someone out despite things not going on the right track for you is something moving. When a 32-year-old welder was rushed to Pune’s KEM hospital on his birthday little did he know that he will be the reason behind saving four lives.
The man had a stroke attack and the doctors declared his brain was dead on Friday. The news was shattering for his 6-month pregnant wife and to help save someone else’s life, she consented to donate her husband’s organs.
The late welder’s heart was donated to a 28-year-old man in Nagpur which happened to be the city’s first heart transplant surgery. While talking to Indian Express, about the transfer of the organ, Dr. Durairaj said: “The crucial thing about this surgery was the long-distance transfer of the heart. The heart had to be in the box for a longer period of time. We also took a commercial flight, so the coordination had to be perfect.”
The donor’s one kidney was sent to Ruby Hall Clinic while the other was transferred to Sassoon General Hospital and his liver was given to a patient in KEM hospital itself.
The late welder has given a new life to four people, his death might still be a shock for his family members and we at My Indian Dream wish his wife all the strength.
