Nature Enthusiasts can now enroll for a short certificate course in understanding wildlife.
For those nature enthusiasts who wish to understand about the wildlife, here is a great chance offered by Forest Department officials in Pune. Citizens can now enroll for short certificate course to learn about wildlife conservation. They can walk with the protectors and understand more about conservation of wildlife.
With the help of this short course, people can now understand how protection of wildlife actually works.
The main idea of this course is to make people understand what work forest staff does informed eco-tourism board, Anuj Khare.
As per a report published in The Times of India Khare said, “There is hardly any interaction between the tourists and forest staff once they enter the gates of a sanctuary or reserve. The course will give an insight into duties and activities the staff carries out as part of the conservation. This will change people's own perspective about their role in the effort.” The first session of this course was held at Melghat Tiger Reserve from June 5 to June 10. This course included an introduction to the participants about the conservation and laws that govern the duties, techniques among other.
"Most of the modules were led by forest officials. In addition, the participants were also taken on a joint patrol with the Special Tiger Protection Force (STPF) officers to show them their routine. The course ended with a traditional performance by members of the Korku tribe — locals of the region," said Khare.
Forest officials are planning the next batch for a three-day period in August.
