The innovative Vijay Garden society after a deluge.
After a deluge that flooded the cars of The Vijay Garden Society, the residents took benefit of it in ways one would not think of. After the water subsided , the residents collected the mud and transferred it in the 200 empty paint drums that were left post the repainting of the society walls.
Nelson D'mello a resident of the society with other individuals started planting vegetable seeds in the paint drums after which the society showcased a terrace full of vegetables. The society has already started putting up solar panels and plans to link up the power they generate to the grid which will allow them an equal rebate on the monthly bills.
The Vijay Garden society shows us how we can put our innovative thoughts into practice and save up on our resources and avoid wastage. Kudos to the innovative residents and lets try to do our bit by minimising waste.
