Where Maoists live and the government can't reach, is a sports academy for the academy.
A state full of crime, a place in the absence of government is preparing its youth in the fields of Sports. Bijapur administration keeping the Maoist affected violence aside has set up its first Sports Academy, a mini stadium in May, last year.
This academy has over 240 students training in 10 sports. These students are trained by head coaches from the Sports Authority Of India. 17 students from this academy have made it to National level and have won four medals.
A 20-year-old coach Somaru Kashyap talks about the difficulties he suffered in his childhood days after his parent's death to illness. He said earning an amount of 15000 is not the reason for his happiness but the fact that he can change the lives of many children brings him peace and happiness.
This Academy helps children look beyond the evil crime live existing in the state and helps them grow in the fields of sports. This will not only give them a crime-free live but also give them a better future.
