Three Indian Badminton players for the first time get enlisted amongst top 15 in the latest BWF Rankings | My Indian Dream

Indian male players get into top 15 BWF rankings for the first time.

As per the current Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings, three Indian badminton players namely Ajay Jayaram, Kidambi Srikanth and B Sai Praneeth hold 13th, 14th and 15th positions respectively in the list. This is the first time that any Indian player has entered into the top 15 rankings of the BWF list.

Other players onto the list are Sameer Verma and HS Prannoy with 28th and 30th ranks respectively. In women singles category, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal had their positions of 3rf and 11th ranks respectively maintained. Also in mixed doubles category, Pranav Jerry Chopra and N Sikki Reddy acquired position 15th. They had moved one place above to get into top 15.

Sai Praneeth has shown a steep rise in its rankings by moving nine places up after he won the men’s single title at Thailand Open and defeated his opponent Kidambi Srikanth to win the Singapore Super Series title in April.

Currently, Indian badminton players are all preparing themselves for the upcoming Indonesia Open scheduled from June 12 to 18. All great players namely PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Sai Praneeth, HS Prannoy, Chopra-Sikki are participating in the upcoming Super Series.
