Twelve out of 73 players chosen for NBA camp in China are Indians and they will be trained by elite players and coaches of NBA
Twelve Indian players in the age group of 17-18 have been selected for the NBA camp that will be held in China from 18-21. The boys will be trained by elite players and coaches of NBA. The camp is organized for basketball players in the Asia-Pacific region
The camp will also be attended by current NBA players Malik Beasley, Andrew Nicholson, Garrett Temple who will impart training to the budding players.
The players in the 17-18 age group will be coached by WNBA player Zheng Haixia, assistant coaches Ryan Bowen, Charles Klask, Bob Thornton, and FIBA coach Ronalld Cass.
NBA China CEO David Shoemaker expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Basketball Association, Zhejiang Provincial Sports Vocational Technical Institute, and Nike for their continued support in providing the elite young players with the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s best players and coaches.
This is the fourth time that such a camp will be held. Australia, New Zealand and Korea will be sending 10 boys each for the camp.
